A 'Smirt'=An over sized Shirt

Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen (aka The Olsen Twins) are credited with introducing oversized clothing with their fashion design house The Row in the 2000's (therow.com).

Deliberate and cool, the baggy silhouettes still telegraph sophistication today.

A 'Smirt' (smock/shirt) is my version of an oversized shirtdress that lends itself very nicely to lightweight fabrics like this 4.5 ounce flax and indigo linen we call Sand and Ocean.

The drape swishes around your legs....and billows gently in a breeze.

Shown at a maxi length of 49", with collar and cuffs.
